Perth, Western Australia, 26 June 2023 – The Rare Care Centre (RCC) at Perth Children’s Hospital, Child and Adolescent Health Service in Western Australia, is proud to announce the release of its inaugural impact report. 

The RCC officially launched in February 2022, with its cross-sector care coordination clinical service beginning in October 2022. The impact report offers an overview of RCC’s work and accomplishments during the first 12 months of its operation and of the initial six months of the clinical service.

The RCC’s model of care is strengthened by its innovative digital solutions, novel educational approaches, family support programmes, global professional networks, enhanced clinical research infrastructure, and policy and legislative developments. The report focuses on significant milestones, achievements, partnerships and new initiatives driven by the RCC. 

These efforts reflect the RCC’s team unwavering dedication to improving the lives of children and their families affected by rare and undiagnosed diseases.
